In addition leading Skyview, LLC, as Managing Member and Hixme, as CEO, Denny Weinberg serves on several corporate boards. Included among the companies that Denny Weinberg has served as board member is Renal Ventures Management, LLC, a Lakewood, Colorado-based organization that works with hospitals and other medical centers to provide dialysis services.
In its efforts to improve health outcomes for those with kidney issues, Renal Ventures oversees a variety of patient-centered programs, including Renal Ventures Team Linked Care (RV TLC). Founded in 2014, the RV TLC program helps dialysis clinics work more closely with hospitals to ensure that kidney patients receive the comprehensive care needed to stay out of the hospital.
The RV TLC program improves communication between hospitals and Renal Ventures staff and ensures that patients receive the medication, consultations, and other resources required to maintain their health following a hospital stay. The program has been very successful overall and was associated with a 40 percent decrease in re-hospitalizations during its first year. Recently, Renal Ventures expanded RV TLC to focus on providing nutritional supplements in order to further improve patient outcomes.

Now, as the recently appointed CEO of Hixme, Inc., a venture funded technology and health care startup, Denny Weinberg helps facilitate large employer’s migration through challenges and opportunities brought about by the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
HIXME, located in Calabasas, California, was founded and is led by a highly respected team of health benefit and health care professionals with expertise in technology and servicing for larger employer health related benefits. HIXME helps these large companies discover and leverage a less obvious, but much simpler and more effective employee health plan strategy. The company accomplishes this through collaboration with their customers and the broader health care industry in unique ways and delivering a completely “portable” employee platform not possible until the enactment of the ACA.
Many employers engage in an expensive annual process of re-designing and re-structuring a health coverage solution, essentially creating their own health benefits company, and taking on the associated costs and risks of doing so, expending energy on matters outside their core competencies. They have been led to believe this customized approach is most effective, despite its cost and complexity.
Hixme looks at the subtleties of its clients’ business and determines how to migrate the company to a plan that creates more value for employees through direct employee ownership, leveraging the massive retail market of choices and stability. As the employer’s benefit consultant, Hixme starts this transition process, fully appreciating the client’s current position and approach and then helps the client through a “path of migration” best suited to each individual employer’s natural pacing and complexity. Once this strategy is in place, each employee can access a new and portable system of health and related insurance and the employer is able to get out of the messy and costly roles of designer / provider and into the much more important roles of facilitator / contributor.
